I just hope all my efforts would be worth it

I weigh 218 pounds before holy week and due to fasting and all that i lost 5 pounds (17500 calories burned/ not taken) but a condition disturbed me, I experienced nocturia (frequent urge to urinate at night) Monday, I went to the district laboratory specialist for urinalysis just to check if there’s a presence of glucose, bacteria or whatsoever. I also asked for a blood chemistry to check the FBS or fasting blood sugar, BUN and creatinine. It is necessary to get those values to see if the cause of frequent urination is due to serious pathologic conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus Type II (insulin dependent) or Infection to the Urinary Tract. The results was obtained after our meeting in Balanga. I was shocked when I saw laboratory results, my blood sugar is in the border line meaning, I am near to become a Diabetic but when I checked the preparation time before doing the blood chemistry it was stated that you must be on NPO (nothing per orem) for 12 hours but in my case I ate 10PM prior to the blood testing at 8:50AM the following day (10 hours of fasting only) so the results were altered. I am on diet right now, as what my doctor advised, no rice, low carbohydrates, no foods rich in uric acid such as beans, organ meats etc. So, I only eat grilled pork (drained), 1 del monte fit n right, lettuce with tomato ketchup (without mayonaisse in the dressing), Quaker oats with hot water only and 1 piece of loaf bread thats it! in any variety of the food Ive mentioned. Combination as follows:

Combination # 1

1/2 lettuce
2 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
1 fit n right (330 ML)

Combination # 2
1 fit n right
1 piece of loaf bread

Combination # 3
1 fit n right
3 pieces of grilled porkchop (fat drained)
1 piece of loaf bread

Combination # 4
1 small pack of quaker oats with hot water
1 fit n right

Tomorrow ill be having the laboratory tests again, I just hope that all my efforts would be worth it. Sigh.

Enrolled!

Hay sa wakas actually nung 15 lang ako nagenroll pero nakakainis kasi palipat lipat ako ng section. from A to D now from D to A. Hay ... handa na ko for incoming semester.. level up narin sa wakas. Ang hirap jud mag nursing! pero on the brighter side very rewarding talaga yung feeling kapag may mga pasyente kang mababaet.

God bless!

2007 Senatorial and Local Elections

Elections are now over and the crucial part is the counting where cheating and manipulation of votes takes place. I am not satisfied with the results of the elections based on the quick count done by two networks. Same old politicians are leading and most of the deserving senatoriables are on the last part, not Gomez, Montano, Wood, Lozano etc. I am pertaining to "Ang Kapatiran" candidates, Bautista, Paredes and Sison.

It so sad to know that most of the Filipinos are into traditional politics. Whoever is popular, commercially visible has bigger chances of winning. I just hope that next elections hopefully in 2010, the COMELEC should banned campaign commercials again to give all candidates a fair fight. Oh well, most of them are visible on TV and they came from Popular Political Family so still it isnt fair though.

We need reforms, reforms that will favor the people and not to protect those who are greed in power and wealth.
